Thursdays in the Archdiocese, Prayer Calendars

& Adopt a Priest

In conjunction with the Vocations Office and the Daughters of Mercy, parishioners are asked to join in offering prayers and sacrifices on Thursdays for priests and religious in the Archdiocese. Moreover, one can spiritually adopt a priest using the prayer cards available through the Faith Formation Office. On December 1st, Advent 2019, we in the Archdiocese of Winnipeg are starting a new prayer initiative: the Vocations Prayer Calendar! We invite all of you to pray for a particular person on each day, as indicated on the calendar, to help support and sustain them in their God-given vocation. Thursdays have been designated by Archbishop Richard Gagnon as the Day of Prayer for Vocations. On this day, we pray for all vocations in the Archdiocese of Winnipeg, and for an increase in vocations to the priesthood and religious life. Thank you for joining us! God bless!
