Fall Programs 2019

We will begin our new Faith Formation programs for the 2019 year this September!
Have you not signed up yet for your free FORMED account? Do you want to get the most out of your account? Parishioners will have access to three workshops in the fall, one a month, to learn more about the resources available on FORMED.org. Mark your calendar for one of the following Sundays--September 28, October 20 and November 17--from 12:00 - 2:00 PM in the Parish Square. Volunteers will be available to sign up parishioners and answer any questions you may have. Please register ahead by phone or through the website.
To kick off our programs, we will offer two 4-week sessions on the mystery of Christ’s Presence in the Holy Eucharist. One session will run on Sundays from 2:00 – 3:00 in the Parish Square (beginning September 22). The second session will run during the week on Thursday afternoons, 1:30 – 2:30 PM in the Parish Square (beginning October 17). All parishioners are welcome to register. A Moms’ (& Moms-to-be) Prayer Group will run concurrent with the new Storytime program beginning in September. These two programs will be offered once a month for September, October and November on the following Saturdays from 10:15 AM – 11:30 AM (Sept. 28, Oct. 19, Nov. 23). Families who attend these programs will also have access to a family lending library which will be available during the final minutes quarter hour of the program. There are 16 spots available for children ages 4 - 8, and unlimited spots for the prayer group. Complete registration details are available here. Register once for all three fall sessions.
For the young adults of the parish, Fr. Christopher will run a bible study program (Ascension Press) on Revelation and Ephesians with time for fellowship afterwards, beginning on Fridays in September from 8:00 – 9:00 PM in the Parish Square. There is a $10.00 cost which covers materials for this program. Registration opens August 6 and is ongoing. Please register ahead.
Join the new Book Club in the parish. We will be exploring two masterpiece works on elements of the spiritual life, namely silence and prayer. The first session will run on Wednesdays from September 4 through October 18 in the Parish Square from 7:00 - 8:00 PM. The Power of Silence Against the Dictatorship of Noise by Robert Cardinal Sarah is available online for free through FORMED.org for all parishioners. The second session will delve into a short treatise by Fr. Jacques Philippe, Thirsting for Prayer, from October 23 through November 13. See complete registration and payment details here.
St. Cecilia's Choir is a new group for young women (ages 13 - 23) within the parish. This two-part choir will perform several times over the course of the year, and twenty spots are available for interested members. Practices will be held at the Church on Saturdays from 12:30 - 2:00 PM, and a small fee of $10.00 will cover the music for these performances. Registration opens August 6 on a first-come-first-served basis. See here for full details.
Keep an eye on the Faith Formation board (located in the East Vestibule) for posters, free resources and other news. Don't forget Lighthouse CDs are available (suggested $5 donation) for all parishioners. Pass on your suggestions/ideas to the Faith Formation Office through the suggestion box by the Faith Formation board.
