Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ
A blessed Corpus Christi Sunday!
We are blessed in our Catholic faith to receive the Body and Blood of Jesus at Mass in Holy Communion each Sunday. What other religion can boast of such an awesome or intimate experience of God! Truly we are blessed! Eucharist is derived from a Greek word which means 'thanksgiving'. Today let us give thanks for this most generous gift of Christ's Body available to us at each celebration of the Mass.

There are others, innocence, for instance, but that is for little children; penance, but we are afraid of it; generous endurance of the trials of life, but when they come we weep and ask to be spared. Once for all, beloved children, the surest, easiest, shortest way is by the Eucharist. It is so easy to approach the holy table, and there we taste the joys of Paradise."
